My friends in Christ, My name is Fr. Bill Kelly, and I am the pastor of St. Paul’s Parish in Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA. This parish is also the home of the famous St. Paul’s Choir School (the only Catholic Choir School in the United States) as well as the Harvard Catholic Center, which serves the Catholics of Harvard University. This year, 2025, our parish is celebrating its 150th anniversary. We have many events planned, addressing the spiritual, intellectual, social and artistic dimensions of our parish life. We are also grateful that we share this anniversary year with the Jubilee Year of Hope designated by Pope Francis, as well as the 1700th anniversary of the Nicene Creed, both of which have helped us to approach this year’s celebration. In fact, the motto for our parish anniversary is Credo. I am writing to ask a favor. Would your community be kind enough to add St. Paul’s Parish to your intentions throughout this year? To have women and men religious communities praying for us would be a great comfort and a reason for our hope. The mission of St. Paul’s, with its global reach, plays a humbling role in the spread of the Gospel, one that needs to be protected and nurtured by prayer.
